General Rental Conditions

3.1 Minimum Age

The renter and all authorized drivers must be at least 21 years old. A surcharge applies to drivers under 25 years of age.

3.2 Driver's License

All drivers must hold a valid driver's license for at least one (1) year. For certain premium vehicle categories, a minimum of two (2) years of license seniority is required.

3.3 International Drivers

Non-Moroccan drivers must present an International Driving Permit (IDP) along with their national driver's license if the license is not in Arabic, French, or English.

5.1 Payment Methods

We accept payment by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) or cash. The full rental amount must be paid at the time of vehicle pickup unless otherwise agreed in writing.

5.2 Security Deposit

A security deposit is required and varies by vehicle category:

• Economy/Compact cars: 5,000 - 7,000 MAD
• Compact SUVs: 10,000 MAD
• Midsize SUVs: 12,000 MAD
• Premium/Luxury vehicles: 25,000 - 35,000 MAD

The deposit is blocked on your credit card as a pre-authorization and released within 7-14 business days after vehicle return, provided there is no damage, fines, or outstanding charges.

5.3 Additional Charges

The renter is responsible for all costs incurred during the rental period, including but not limited to:

• Fuel (vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level)
• Tolls and parking fees
• Traffic fines and violations (plus 200 MAD processing fee)
• One-way fees (if applicable)
• After-hours pickup/return fees (300 MAD)
• Additional driver fees
• Optional equipment (GPS, child seat, etc.)

6.1 Included Coverage

All rentals include the following mandatory insurance:

• Third Party Liability (TPL): Unlimited coverage for third-party bodily injury and property damage
• Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): Reduces renter liability for vehicle damage (deductible applies)
• Theft Protection (TP): Reduces renter liability for vehicle theft (deductible applies)

6.2 Optional Coverage

• Super CDW: Reduces or eliminates the collision damage deductible
• Personal Accident Insurance (PAI): Coverage for driver and passengers
• Tire and Glass Protection: Covers damage to tires, windshield, and windows

6.3 Insurance Exclusions

Insurance does NOT cover:

• Damage to tires, wheels, rims, undercarriage, roof, or interior
• Loss or damage to keys, remote controls, or vehicle documents
• Damage caused by driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Damage caused by prohibited uses (see Section 8)
• Damage caused outside Morocco's borders
• Damage from driving on unpaved roads or off-road terrain
• Engine damage from improper fuel or water ingestion
• Damage not reported to police within 24 hours

6.4 Renter Liability

The renter is fully liable for all damage, theft, or loss not covered by insurance. In case of an accident, the renter must:

1. Contact the police immediately and obtain an official police report
2. Notify Aznag Cars within 2 business days
3. Complete an accident report form
4. Not admit fault or make statements to third parties
5. Provide all witness information and third-party details

Failure to obtain a police report will void all insurance coverage and make the renter fully liable for all costs.

7.1 Permitted Use

The vehicle may only be driven:

• On paved public roads within Morocco
• By authorized drivers listed on the rental agreement
• In compliance with all Moroccan traffic laws and regulations
• While the driver is sober and not under the influence of drugs

7.2 Maintenance Obligations

The renter must:

• Check and maintain proper oil, coolant, and fluid levels
• Monitor tire pressure regularly
• Report any mechanical issues or warning lights immediately
• Obtain written authorization from Aznag Cars before any repairs

7.3 Fuel Policy

The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel. The renter must return the vehicle with a full tank. If returned with less fuel, the renter will be charged:

• Cost of missing fuel at premium rates
• Refueling service fee of 150 MAD

Important: Use only the correct fuel type indicated on the fuel cap. Misfueling voids all insurance and makes the renter liable for engine damage.

9.1 Pickup Procedure

• The renter must inspect the vehicle carefully and note any existing damage on the rental agreement
• The vehicle is provided clean with a full tank of fuel
• The renter must verify that all documents (registration, insurance) are in the vehicle
• Late pickup without notification may result in rental cancellation

9.2 Return Procedure

The vehicle must be returned:

• At the agreed location and time
• In the same condition as received (normal wear excepted)
• With a full tank of fuel
• Clean (interior and exterior) - excessive dirt may incur cleaning fees (200-500 MAD)
• With all documents, keys, accessories, and equipment

9.3 Grace Period and Late Returns

A 60-minute grace period is allowed. After that:

• Up to 4 hours late: 200 MAD late fee
• More than 4 hours late: Full additional day charged at standard rates
• Unauthorized extension voids insurance coverage

Extensions must be requested and approved in writing before the return deadline.

9.4 After-Hours Return

Returns outside business hours (8:00 AM - 8:00 PM) incur a 300 MAD fee. The renter remains responsible for the vehicle until it is inspected by Aznag Cars staff during business hours.

9.5 One-Way Rentals

Returns to a different location than pickup are subject to one-way fees:

• Within Agadir: Free
• Marrakech: 700 MAD
• Casablanca: 1,200 MAD

Unauthorized drop-off at a different location incurs a 700 MAD penalty plus vehicle recovery costs.

10.1 Online Bookings

• Cancellations more than 48 hours before pickup: Full refund
• Cancellations 24-48 hours before pickup: 50% refund
• Cancellations less than 24 hours before pickup: No refund
• No-show: No refund

10.2 Modifications

Booking modifications (dates, vehicle category, locations) are accepted up to 24 hours before pickup, subject to availability. Changes within 24 hours may incur fees.

10.3 Force Majeure

In case of force majeure (natural disasters, political unrest, pandemic restrictions), both parties may cancel without penalty with full refund.
